The Royal Academy of Arts

An exciting new chapter…

Neighbourly Matters – Daylight | Sunlight | Rights of light | Party Wall Matters

2018 marks the 250 year anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the RA has plans to unify it buildings – creating an inspiring space fit for its broad, 21st century audience. However, transforming historic buildings in the heart of bustling Mayfair is no small feat, so in stepped JLL’s Neighbourly Matters team. By de-risking the site, considering daylight, sunlight, rights  of light and party wall issues from the outset, the team has helped make the RA’s vision a reality.

“Making it happen” is central to transformational strategies. JLL believes in the big aspirations that live within every new project, and we deliver the broader definition of success, with scale and competency like no one else. We call this inspiration, delivered.

With our unique experience, we were able to successfully conclude rights of light negotiations and party wall matters, making the RA’s vision a reality by enabling the extension to be built without risk from the surrounding properties.
